M.A.X. and the Summer of Love - Part I
I don’t know if its the nice weather or my desire to longer have a job or any responsibilities . But for some reason I got to to thinking/reminising/trying to build a time machine for the last week to get back the greatest summer of gaming of my life… the summer of M.A.X..
There are games that define a gamers existence… that will forever change them into self diluted sleepless freaks that have convinced themselves that one more game… one different move and they could have beaten every opponent or vanquished any foe. Or in my case I just wanted to kick my two roommates asses… particularly the arrogant blond Aryan looking one that always got chicks and…. I digress
M.A.X.: Mechanized Assault and Exploration was that game for me. The game was a real time turn based strategy game for up to 4 players… that not only won critical acclaim but kicked such an amazing amount of ass its hard to contemplate that this game did not reach the same status of Warcraft, C&C, and Starcraft.
This game was effectively completely customizable because as you went through unit upgrades you could choose any unit parameter to upgrade.
